Executive presence isn’t just for executives
Our 3/28 noon central Leadership Caffeine Jam Session (Register Here) features Joel Garfinkle, a leading executive coach and one of the world’s experts on executive presence. He even wrote the book! (Executive Presence — Step into Your Power, Convey Confidence, & Lead with Conviction)
The term executive presence, henceforth referenced as EP here, is a misdirect. It turns out that the behaviors and factors that comprise EP are essential for all of us! For every professional —managers, individual contributors, team leads, project and product managers, and emerging executives — it’s imperative to cultivate and strengthen how others experience you.
If you work in an organization and are interested in solving problems, improving processes, exploring and gaining support for innovations, key changes, and strategies, you must cultivate and strengthen how others experience you. After all, people must perceive you as credible, trustworthy, and confident in your ideas and recommendations. Managers and executives need to perceive you can execute on ideas and take on larger initiatives and responsibilities. And others who can choose you for key initiatives need to perceive you have much to offer.
Making executive presence tangible for you, regardless of your role
The secret to developing a strong EP or Professional Presence (not as nice of an acronym!) isn’t locked in a vault like the formula for Coca-Cola. Joel Garfinkle does a fantastic job outlining the core areas and behaviors of EP. He offers guidance on assessing your EP and many approaches to strengthen in necessary areas.
This session is free for you and your team. It’s part of my way of paying forward much of what I’ve gained in a long career filled with amazing mentors, opportunities, and successful and unsuccessful adventures, too many to describe.
Insights to amplify your impact in your job and career
In this session, you’ll gain ideas and approaches that may just be what you need to amplify or multiply your impact in your organization and career. And rumor has it I might just be giving away a couple of copies of Joel’s great book!
Leadership Caffeine Jam Sessions — no slides, just ideas you can use and more interaction than you will ever experience in a webinar.
Join us on 3/28 at noon central or register, and you’ll get the recording as Joel Garfinkle, and I bring clarity and guidance to the important issue of presence.
