Regular readers know my work and passion for professional development extends from first-time managers to those individuals emerging as senior leaders in their organizations. My books, written content, and online and live programs are geared heavily for those audiences.
However, during the past few years, something interesting has happened. My audience has expanded to include a new group of later career professionals looking for something more in their careers. Starting with a slow trickle of inquiries and growing into a number of coaching engagements, a new (additional) audience segment has emerged for me. I call this group: Career Reinventors.
Your Drive to Reinvent Yourself in Your Career:
In contrast to job seekers, career reinventors are driven by a deep desire to do something different with their skills—something that leverages their unique superpower(s)—and ideally, something that serves an audience they truly care about in their lives.
It turns out, this is a strong and common drive for many who have moved squarely into the middle or later career stages.
I can relate. I navigated this stage myself, albeit with a considerable number of missteps and self-induced challenges along the way.
Free Webinar: Lessons Learned Through Immersion in Career Reinvention:
I’m excited to share my lessons learned from my journey through this phase as well as the lessons and experiences gained in working with and coaching a number of successful Reinventors, in a free webinar: Reinventing Your Career—A Six-Step Process to Help You Rediscover and Become Yourself at Your Professional Best.
This slightly less than one-hour presentation shares ideas, short case studies and my view on the process we must all move through on our journey to career reinvention.
It is ideal for anyone dealing with what I term: career restlessness and convinced that the type of change they require is beyond that of a simple job change.
You get my unvarnished view on my missteps and ample ideas to use and apply for your journey.
You learn the stories of some great individuals I’ve worked with over the past few years. And yes, in the spirit of transparency, you get an entire minute or so where I explain my coaching services for anyone interested in exploring their journey with a guide. I am currently taking on a limited number of new clients for my Career Reinvention practice. (And yes, the content to coaching pitch ratio is overwhelmingly in favor of content! I hate when these things are just infomercials.)
Check out your options to join me in sharing ideas on your career reinvention.
